Experience
I have been an educator for many years, primarily as a social studies teacher at a New Jersey high school. I can work with students in many different grade levels, although my focus has been on seventh through twelfth grade students for the last five years. I also worked as a tutor for three years while I was doing my undergraduate studies, helping students with college essay writing, editing, and reading comprehension. I discovered early that teaching is one of my great, life-long passions, so I earned my bachelor's degree at the College of New Jersey in both history and secondary education. I can work with students who struggle in many different subjects. Not only can I help with writing and reading, but I can help students with U.S. history, advanced studies like Social and Cultural Anthropology, public speaking, government and politics, social studies, and preparation for many types of standardized tests, from the TACHS and SHSAT to Advanced Placement exams. I can also help special education students. I look forward to working with you as a tutor! When I'm not pursuing my dreams as an educator, I love to read a good book and also enjoy listening to music.
